Stem Cell Therapy FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions [FAQs]
How is PRP obtained?
Platelet Rich Plasma is obtained with a simple and safe blood draw. Special collection tubes are used and about 16 cc of blood is obtained. The blood is centrifuged with special equipment until PRP is obtained. After this process, the blood is highly concentrated with platelets, and the PRP is ready for injection. This high amount of platelets will encourage healing to promote tissue repair. Platelet Rich Plasma may also be mixed with fat for aesthetic enhancement.
